Whether They’re Called Goals Or Bucket Lists, Certain Things To Keep In Mind

YOUR LIFE, YOUR GOALS!

First, they have to be realistic goals for attainment that can come to fruition.  It is better to stay away from any overly complicated goals.

Second, before goal achievement can even possibly occur, an individual must have a healthy attitude.  Don’t let it be said that the aspect that caused your goal stagnation was a negative attitude.

Third, it’s a good idea to maintain your counsel (i.e., keep your ideas to yourself).  These are your dreams and it is better when you keep them close to your breast to avoid unnecessary external complications and impediments.  Unfortunately, some people with a pathology take delight in sabotaging the plans of others.

Fourth, while an earlier entry talked about personal attitude, it’s also important to surround yourself with people with positive attitudes:  Those with a can-do attitude.  Anything less are people who will stifle your attempts and deteriorate any future goal attainment.  They can drag a person down and goal attempts can wither away, and possibly forever.

Fifth, while you may not entertain the company of people with negative attitudes, these individuals can pop up while attempting to achieve goals.  It’s important to use those experiences as encouragement to keep plugging away to securing those achievements.  Consider the experiences as practice in strengthening your emotional maturity.

Finally, having smaller goals, and bucket lists, are more doable and have a way of making a passage for other goal fulfillments.

BEST OF LUCK!

To The Goal-Oriented: 2024, A Brief Word On Goal Achievement

ONCE YOU ATTAIN YOUR GOALS, CREATE NEW ONES

It’s never too early to think about personal goal attainment for the new year and begin the planning stage of the process.  Writing down goals can unravel potential achievements.  A person can look at them and analyze if they are one, several, or one enormous goal with different parts.

A person needs to ask themselves a few questions while this stage commences:

  • (Even though you may already know the answer, ask yourself)  What are my values?
  • Are any of these goals unimportant?
  • How realistic are these goals?
  • How long (i.e., a guesstimate) will it take for this particular achievement?
  • Do any of these goals necessitate resources to bring them to fruition?
  • Which ones take priority over the others?
  • Which ones are short-term or long-term goals?
  • Will any of these goals lead directly to the conclusion of a longer-term one?
  • For those of you with a Project Management background, is there a deadline (i.e., the end date) you would like to achieve any personal goal?

Thinking and planning can reduce the unnecessary emotional discomfort of any new goal season.  Also, a person should understand that having limited goals doesn’t mean they’re limited as a person.  They’re focusing on the most important goals that they can visualize will reach a hard-earned reward.  Visualizing an accomplishment is 90% of the work!

All the best to you as I know you will succeed in bringing your goals to fruition!

*As an aside, every day is a new season of the planning stage for goal attainment.  Also, if the terms “goals, goal-attainment, achievements, and accomplishments” are too overwhelming, give them a nickname to make those efforts reach a positive conclusion.

Begin Now In Preparing What Your Goal Achievements Will Look Like in 2023

Goal achievement can begin (has to begin?) with mentally removing the noise in life, and focusing on what matters to you.

It’s important to set realistic goals.

Goal achievement is a competition, of sorts, with you, and not others.

Reducing the scope of the goals decreases the potential for unnecessary issues from becoming a hindrance.  It’s better when smaller goals have a greater chance of coming to fruition because they have a way of creating new opportunities in larger goal attainment.

Everything is a project!  Whatever the goal is, treat it with certain care, and have fun (where appropriate!) along the way.

The most important aspect of goal achievement is merely showing up in your life.
